Some Recent Numbers
Last year saw a marked increase in the number of housing related interventions for HAS service users. Of the almost 200 HAS interventions this past year, over 30% of them were housing related. These interventions included addressing problems related to lack of heat, water leaks, mould, vermin, rent increases, evictions and landlord harassment.
Welfare and pension problems continued to affect HAS service users, with welfare accounting for approximately 14% of interventions, and pensions accounting for about 12% of interventions last year.
