Are you motivated by social justice? Do you want to work in solidarity with Côte-des-Neiges community members to organise popular actions for housing justice and against poverty?

Project Genesis, a community organization with almost 50 years’ experience working for social justice, is seeking a full-time community organizer (5 days/week).

Salary: $26.75 to $30.50 / hour, depending on relevant experience and education.

Main tasks:

• Organizing campaigns and actions;
• Researching social policies;
• Popular education; and
• Mobilizing residents and coalition-building.

We are seeking:

• Experience working in the community sector;
• Capacity for critical analysis on social and economic issues;
• Familiarity with grassroots movements;
• Bilingual (French and English), other languages an asset;
• Strong people and communication skills;
• Skills working with traditional and social media;
• Excellent capacity to work autonomously and with others.
