En outre, le revenu m\u00e9dian n\u2019a augment\u00e9 que de 4,5% entre 2006 et 2011 alors que les loyers ont cr\u00fb de 10,3% pendant\u00a0cette p\u00e9riode.<\/p>\n<p>Cela touche particuli\u00e8rement les immigrants comme Porage, arriv\u00e9 du Bangladesh\u00a0il y a environ deux ans. Apr\u00e8s un accident de travail dans un restaurant,l\u2019homme est en arr\u00eat de travail, a \u00e9puis\u00e9 l\u2019assurance ch\u00f4mage. \u00abPour payer mes 280$ de loyer, j\u2019emprunte \u00e0 des amis mais cette situation ne pourra pas durer et je risque de me faire mettre \u00e0 la porte de mon logement\u00bb, raconte l\u2019homme.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abCette situation du quartier est un scandale, surtout si l\u2019on consid\u00e8re la v\u00e9tust\u00e9 du parc locatif\u00bb, a ajout\u00e9 Christopher Schwartz, organisateur communautaire au Projet G\u00e9n\u00e8se, un organisme d\u2019aide du quartier.<\/p>\n<p>Chaque ann\u00e9e, l\u2019arrondissement re\u00e7oit 2000 plaintes de locataires pour des logements en mauvais \u00e9tat.
