Storefront and Home Advocacy Services
Individual Services (Storefront and Home Advocacy Services) volunteers work in very close collaboration with Project Genesis staff to provide legal information about tenants’ rights and help community members access social programmes. Empathy, good communication skills, and a non-judgemental approach are essential to this role.
Community Organizing
Community Organising (Housing Rights and Anti-Poverty committees, Outreach, and more) volunteers work with Project Genesis staff to bring community members together to fight for better housing for all and eliminate the structural causes of poverty. Together, we organize and participate in actions, do popular education and community outreach, engage in lobbying, and more.
Internships
Each year, Project Genesis provides opportunities for law and social work students to gain invaluable on-the-ground experience while receiving academic credit.
We accept a limited number of college-level and university-level students.
If our work interests you and your school provides internship possibilities, consider applying for one of these positions through your school!
