We will offer you:

  • Information about low-cost housing as well as the other kinds of social housing
  • Help in filling out application forms
  • Information about the Shelter Allowance program
  • Information about our work towards the creation of more social housing units

Make sure you meet these basic eligibility criteria:

  • You are a permanent resident or Canadian citizen
  • You have lived in Montreal for 12 of the last 24 months (limited exceptions apply for specific situations)
  • Your household income is lower than:
    • $30,000 for one person or a couple
    • $34,500 for 2 or 3 people (such as parent with 2 children, or a couple with a child)
    • $40,500 for 4 or 5 people
  • You are not a full-time student (an exception is made if you have a child)

Other restrictions will be discussed at the session.
